About Chivas Regal

What is Chivas Regal?

Chivas Regal is a blended scotch whisky made from high-quality single malt and grain whiskies. Our blenders use their expert knowledge to create smooth, perfectly balanced scotch.

What’s the history of Chivas Regal? Where can I learn more?

Our history goes back to the Chivas Brothers, James and John, born in the early 1800s. Their first business – selling high-end items and liquor – received a Royal Warrant in 1843, which meant they sold goods to Queen Victoria herself.

In 1909, Master Blenders Charles Howard and Alexander Smith first used the name Chivas Regal to launch the world’s first luxury whisky.

Where is Chivas Regal made?

Chivas Regal is produced at the Strathisla Distillery in Speyside.  Established in 1786, it’s the oldest working distillery in the Scottish Highlands.

How is Chivas Regal made?

Malt whisky calls for just three ingredients – barley, water, and yeast – but hard work and time-tested methods turn them into something special.

From distillation maturation, a lot goes into making our scotch. Learn more about the art of making, blending, and aging whisky.

What does Chivas Regal taste like?

Chivas Regal is an award-winning whisky for a reason. Every sip is silky smooth and luxurious – and each blend has a unique taste and aroma. Chivas 12, for instance, has notes of crisp orchard fruits, wild heather, and sweet honey.

How should I store Chivas Regal?
