Chivas Regal is a multiple award-winning whisky for a reason. Every sip is silky smooth and full of the world-famous Speyside malt flavours – but each blend has its own unique taste and aroma. We recommend exploring the tasting notes of the full collection to truly understand the Chivas range.

Chivas Regal is aged for at least 12 years, ensuring every sip is reliably smooth. The wood from the oak casks breaks down the harsh flavours from the alcohol, resulting in a smoother taste as time passes. However, once bottled the ageing process stops.

There is no expiry date for Chivas Regal as distilled spirits are shelf stable at ambient temperatures. To keep your unopened bottle in mint condition, we recommend that it is stored upright in a cool, ventilated environment of medium humidity, away from strong odours.

If you suspect your bottle of Chivas Regal to be fake, please send photos of the bottle and close-ups of the front and back labels, alongside your name, postal address and country, phone number, LOT code on the bottle (this is the mark on the bottle with the date and time beside it e.g. LKD 1234 2010/12/12 14:14), and where you bought it to contactus@chivas.com for someone to look into for you.

Chivas Regal is produced at the beautiful Strathisla Distillery in Speyside, the oldest working distillery in the Scottish Highlands. It dates back to 1786 and was the first distillery owned by the Chivas brothers.

The name comes from the Chivas brothers, James and John Chivas, who were born in the early 1800s. Their first business – selling high-end items and liquor – received a Royal Warrant in 1843, meaning they were responsible for providing goods to Queen Victoria herself. The name Chivas Regal was first used in 1909 with the launch of a 25-year-old whisky, which was the world’s first luxury whisky.

At Chivas Regal, we use a blend of single malt and grain whiskies from leading Scottish distilleries including Strathclyde and Longmorn, but the single malt produced at Strathisla sits at the heart of the Chivas Regal blend. This picturesque distillery is the oldest working distillery in the Scottish Highlands and is based in the Speyside region.

Yes, Chivas Regal is free from gluten and completely safe for celiacs. Alcohol is made using cereals but gluten protein does not pass through the distillation process. You can see the full list of whisky ingredients here.

Served neat, Chivas Regal does not contain any sugar. It also doesn’t contain any carbohydrates or fat.

Chivas Regal is a blended whisky, meaning it is made from a variety of high-quality single malt and grain whiskies from different distilleries.
